Vancouver SUV Limo

Party People!

Every weekends I always get a job at Vancouver Limo taking young adults to different kinds of Bar/Nightclubs downtown with the SUV Limousine. With the music they're playing inside the SUV limo is always what I like, dubsteps/hiphop etc. I'd prefer to work with these people because I don't really mind loud music and  I understand that they can be rowdy sometimes  because of alcohol, although I make it sure that they'll get to their destination safe and fine. Just being nice to them and get them to places they want to go and although they know that the gratuity was included to the amount they paid for the trip they would still give me extra tip because I'm awesome and cool.

Sample pic I took from my phone with our SUV Limousine, looks like they're having fun with the disco lights =)  (Ps. I asked them if I can take a picture for this Blog)

So make sure to book in your night out with Vancouver Limousine and ask the office who usually does weekends nightout and book with me :)

Summer

For the past 2 weeks, I have not been feeling the summer mood. When I am not studying or doing my homework, I am working and busing tables. What have I done to myself?

I enrolled in 2 summer courses and right now, I am barely passing one of my course. However, there is still one major test left. So, I can either boost up my mark or that test is going to flunk me. For the other one, there is a test on Monday and I felt that I have not learnt anything. So, let's wait and see how the results are going to turn out for me.

I also have two jobs that add to my pile of stress. One is driving limousines as a limousine chauffer and the other is working in a resturant busing tables and cooking meals. The good thing is that work has been pretty slow, on both sides and that means that I can study more.

Now I have to go back to studying!

Talk to you soon!

Limousine Vancouver

A Fabulous Restaurant

I was doing a 2 hour transfer today in Downtown Vancouver. Giving the clients a tour of the shops on Robson and Davie Street. Then my eyes caught a sign that read Stepho's Greek Taverna. The outside looked like an ordinary restaurant. However, one thing that was very noticable is that all of the customers who came out of the restaurant looked really pleased with what they had came for. I made a mental note to come back to this restaurant after my transfer was over. In my defence, I was starving. I had not had lunch yet and it was already 2:00 in the afternoon. Fortunately, one out of the ten people were also hungry. Also, he noticed the same sign that I had noticed and after discussing it over with his friends, they all decided to go to that restaurant for lunch. They asked me to park the limo outside and join them for a meal. I was very grateful for the offer. It was very kind, but I couldnt do that. Suddenly, as if my stomach disagreed, it let out a big growl. My face turned beat red and I was very embarassed. They all started laughing and accepting defeat, I sat down and was ready to eat with them. It turned out that one of my friends had dated one of the guys here. In a way, we were already buddies since the start. We all got along great and it was a fun day. When we got back in the limo, everyone was stuffed. We chatted all the way home. This is a great example of how work could be fun. To bad this doesn't happen more often, but maybe that is a good thing. If it did, I would surely gain weight.

New Years

Happy New Years everyone! I know I'm a lil late, but I've been busy with my new college courses and boxing week shopping, haha. On New Years Eve, I took the night off work at Vancouver Limousine to spend time with some friends to do the countdown and stuff. I'm glad that transit was free on new years eve! I wonder why they do that... maybe to make sure people don't drink and drive? Haha, who knows. So..what did you all do on NYE?

Anyways.. wow, I can't believe it! It's 2010 already. That means the Vancouver 2010 Olympics are going to happen really soon! I get 2 weeks off of school for the Olympics, so I guess I'm really lucky compared to other people. However, I think I will work during the 2 weeks and watch the Olympics on TV or something. I was browsing through the internet again and I found out that TransLink is offering Olympic bus/transit passes! They'd make great souveniers! I'd like to buy one, but they're too expensive :-( and besides, I have an awesome U-Pass! If you're interested, check out this site: 2010 Games Transit Pass. Oh no, the phone is ringing, ttyl :)

Rain, rain, go away

Never thought I'd be singing nursery rhymes still, but seriously, it's been raining in Vancouver for practically the whole month! The only sunny day I remember this month was yesterday, and I was busy at home typing up a paper. I had to take the weekend off work at Vancouver Limousine again so I can study for my final on Dec. 2nd. Oh boy, I hope I pass this course because I'm failing miserably :-(

Vancouver Limousine

Busy, bored, busy, bored...

'bin busy with my midterms at SFU, that's why I haven't been updating much. Got my h1n1 shot at the doctor's on Friday the 13th, and man! My left arm is killing me. It's been so sore and I can't move it more than a few inches... good thing typing doesn't hurt :-P.

Well I've been in and out of the Vancouver Limousine office this past week... some days it's crazy, phones won't stop ringing, but other days it's so dead it's spooky :-S c'mon, bring on the calls!

Panic Key

Found this funny picture:

Wish I had that around here! I'll press it at school at Simon Fraser University, at work at the Vancouver Limousine office, and whenever I'm stressed out! Like the other day while I was doing my biology midterm, my mind went blank and I wanted to press on this button!

Vancouver Limo

Achoo!

Crap.

I'm sick. AGAIN. =( I feel terrible. Went to the Vancouver Limousine office yesterday, worked the day shift, and had to leave early because I used a whole box of Kleenex, sneezed through the day, and couldn't answer a few calls because I'm losing my voice. ACHOO! S'cuse me. Went home and slept all night.

Well... woke up at 10 AM and boy do I feel better! Still pretty sick though, but minus the painful headache and sore throat :-D. Worked the morning shift at the Vancouver Limo office again and had some yummy chicken noodle soup for lunch. Guess I need to buy a warm jacket for the winter :-(

Vancouver Limo

The month of October!

The cold weather is here and Halloween is coming up! Time for me to go shopping with my little niece and nephew for their Halloween costume. Wonder where I should go shopping? I heard that Value Village has a huge selection for Halloween costumes. I have never been there before. I had recently heard on the radio that Winners is also having a huge selection of Halloween Costumes. Guess I can check both stores for Halloween costumes. My nephew wants me to go and check out Zellers. There are two places that I could go, Zellers at Metrotown Centre or Zellers at Oakridge Mall in Vancouver. Guess, I will be so busy shopping for my niece and nephew. That will be so fun, going around and trying on Costumes. Hope all of you will have fun picking your Halloween Costume. Have a fun and spooky Halloween Day and don't forget to get fireworks!!!!!

Tired

*Yawn* haven't been getting much sleep lately. Being a university student and a Vancouver Limousine driver at the same time sure is hard... but since we're in October, we're gonna slow down... everyone is. This is probably a tough time in the transportation industry.

Turbo pics

Here's a pic of Vancouver Limousine's guard dog: Turbo!! :-)

Isn't he just adorable? Too bad he didn't growl like he does for the driver he hates!

Turbo

I was at the Vancouver Limousine office yesterday and our dog "Turbo," a very friendly dog hates one of the drivers. He wouldn't let one of the drivers into the office and everytime the driver tried to step past him, Turbo would growl and shift his position. However, when I walked up the steps, Turbo wagged his tail and let me in right away. The other driver was kinda choked when he saw that I got to walk right past him. When I was in the office, the phones were ringing like crazy and the poor receptionist had to answer all the calls by herself.... I'd hate to do that!

Vancouver Graduation Limousine

Grad season

Wow, I had absolutely no time to post for the past few months!

Know why? 'Cause the months of April, May, and June = graduation season; crazy kids booking a Vancouver Graduation Limousine for their prom and then going to party after, makes me wish that I was young and carefree again! Even though it has been really hectic, it's also been really fun and now that the grad season's over, it's wedding season all summer! My favourite time of the year since there's lots of money to be made ;)

Limo Vancouver

January 26th 2009

Today, work at Classic Limousine was slow. Because the phone hardly rang and all the paperwork had been done the day before, I got stuck outside washing the limo. I wasnt expecting to go outside so I was wearing a pair of shorts and a t-shirt. Needless to say, it was freezing. Afterwards we got a call from Vancouver Limousine. They wanted to know if one of our vehicle were available to do a job for them since they had their car put in a shop for repair. We were happy to accept their job.

Happy Chinese &  Vietnamese New Years

Back at Vancouver Limousine again.

Had quite a few jobs last night, all the clients I transferred were Chinese. Good thing they were! Lots of them offered me some food, like rice and desserts. I even got some extra tips when I spoke a few words of Chinese - Gong Hei Fat Choy - they gave me a few "red envelopes." Had to do a 3:00 AM pick-up at a club on Davie for a couple of drunk guys.

Glad the snow and ice are all gone! I remember driving to Whistler was a scary ride for me. Good thing nothing happened to me or my limos, though I was stuck in traffic accidents quite a few times. Hope more events come up, since we're entering an economic recession and I might go broke. Ha-ha.

Slow Season

Well Vancouver Limousine and all the other limo companies in Vancouver are slow this year. What I hear is Griffin Transportation, Star and most companies drivers are all complaining that it is so slow. And February is usually a slow month most years (Yuck) :(.

Well there goes the vacation this year.

Wedding Day

Went to the Vancouver Limousine office and checked the agenda for today, holy crow! There are about 5 different couples getting married. Wow, today must be a popular day to get married. Too bad it's raining eh? I'm freezing my socks off typing this.

Looks like I'll be working all night... Awww, there goes my plans to watch the BC Lions and Saskatchewan Roughriders fight it out. Dayyuum. Oh well, I can get my buddies to record it for me :-) That's what buddies are for anyways.

Whistler Limo

Whistler Season's Starting Soon

Haven't updated for a while, I've been pretty busy. Working at Vancouver Limousine can be pretty hectic sometimes, but I'm glad they have a flexible schedule. I mean, which other company lets you have days off when you want it? Which other company has nicer people in their office? The answer is none.

Okay. The other day, I got this job, and I had to pick up some guys in the super awesome white limousine (OMG, the best car ever.. after the SUV limo!), let's call them Bob from Toronto, David, and Lester. So they were on the phone with my boss, and they're all like... Yeah, so we're going to rent the limo for 2 guys and that they ONLY have 3 suitcases and 1 set of skis (They called when they were really drunk, ugh. you could hear the catcalling and frog horn blowing in the background). When I showed up, there were SIX drunken guys! Whoa... ! Plus they had 5 sets of skis / snowboards... and over 6 suitcases that I had to carry. I called my boss about this, how they totally lied about the job. Mid-sentence, Bob grabbed the phone away from me and started yelling at my boss, then he hung up! Then the phone rung, and I grabbed the phone back. My boss spoke to me and told me if they are verbally abusive to me that I should drive the limo away and apologize.. and leave the guys behind. So I followed his instructions. I took Bob's luggage out of the limousine and ignored his yelling "What the f*ck are you doing with my [designer] suitcase that I spent thousands on?" And I spoke to him calmly and instructed that they should call Whistler Limousine and that I could not accomodate him and then I drove the limousine away. When I looked in the rearview mirror, Bob, David, and Lester were running like crazy towards a bus. Haha :)

So all in all, being a driver can be such an adventure. I love it.

Cruise Ship Season

I have had many Americans ask me how many cruise ships come to Vancouver each year, I think it is about 300 trips in total but I could be wrong. I found a site Vancouver Cruise Ship Information. It is not up to date yet but probably will be soon. I wonder how many Americans will show up this year with our dollar as it is. Will wait and see.
