Nail Salons Ladner

Nail Salons Ladner!!

Went to 4 Seasons Nails last week and it was wonderful, This is a Vietnamese nail salon in Ladner that is very successful. 5 of us went there and got pampered, manicure and a pedicure each. Anna is the owner and this lady works 6 - 7 days a week. There are 4 vietnamese girls in total and they are all work horses. The place is spotless with 6 pedicure chairs and 9 nail booths.Their pricing is also very good with 15% off Monday to Saturday from 10:AM to 11:AM.

I highly recommend this place.

Vancouver SUV Limo

Party People!

Every weekends I always get a job at Vancouver Limo taking young adults to different kinds of Bar/Nightclubs downtown with the SUV Limousine. With the music they're playing inside the SUV limo is always what I like, dubsteps/hiphop etc. I'd prefer to work with these people because I don't really mind loud music and  I understand that they can be rowdy sometimes  because of alcohol, although I make it sure that they'll get to their destination safe and fine. Just being nice to them and get them to places they want to go and although they know that the gratuity was included to the amount they paid for the trip they would still give me extra tip because I'm awesome and cool.

Sample pic I took from my phone with our SUV Limousine, looks like they're having fun with the disco lights =)  (Ps. I asked them if I can take a picture for this Blog)

So make sure to book in your night out with Vancouver Limousine and ask the office who usually does weekends nightout and book with me :)

Fright Night

Every year I always look forward to go to Fright Night at playland. I may be old enough to go to this kind of places but I really love scary stuff and I'm madly inlove with creepy and bloodcurling haunted houses. I like dragging my friend to this kind of stuff eventhough she refuses to, I'm even willing to pay for her pass just to scare her :) I also enjoy bunch of rides that they have there especially the new one the Atmosfear. I just hate the long line up and I don't know when's the right time to go because most of the time my jobs are always late at night at Vancouver Limousine, Hopefully  I could a get a day off at the same time as my friend so we coud go and have some fun :)

Ghost Train Vancouver

Got a friend? got the night, you'll be alright. Our first try out with our new installed disco lights in our SUV Limo from VANCOUVER LIMO was with a bunch of kids going to Stanley Park Ghost Train
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BDDqz9oGwLU

Halloween is near again and its perfect for families and kids to go to Stanley park ghost train and I heard its open from October 7 - October 31, 2011.They have awesome haunted farmyard, free face painting, shadow-puppet workshop and theatre etc. These kids gave me an idea where to treat my nephew and niece this halloween.

Working with kids is demanding and rewarding. Sometimes its not easy to work with kids especially if you are not dealing with one but with ten kids, for me I love kids so in pleasing them I make sure that they're having fun. Being with them the whole night makes me feel good because I keep remembering my childhood days where I don't have to worry too much about life and just be happy.

Summer

For the past 2 weeks, I have not been feeling the summer mood. When I am not studying or doing my homework, I am working and busing tables. What have I done to myself?

I enrolled in 2 summer courses and right now, I am barely passing one of my course. However, there is still one major test left. So, I can either boost up my mark or that test is going to flunk me. For the other one, there is a test on Monday and I felt that I have not learnt anything. So, let's wait and see how the results are going to turn out for me.

I also have two jobs that add to my pile of stress. One is driving limousines as a limousine chauffer and the other is working in a resturant busing tables and cooking meals. The good thing is that work has been pretty slow, on both sides and that means that I can study more.

Now I have to go back to studying!

Talk to you soon!

Red Bull with Every Grad

This year, Red Bull is promoting a dry grad. So, they contacted us; the vancouver limousine company and gave us 1000s of graduation packages. Each package comes with 2 Red Bull cans (one is regular and the other is suger free) and a Congratulation Certificate. The three items are stacked in a long cylinder can, which is pretty neat.

So, every graduating student that rents a limo gets to have a free Red Bull Grad Package. Not bad eh? To check out the Red Bull items go to http://www.malroblimousine.com/ and click on the face book tab. There are also pictures of recent grads that we had posted on facebook (with their permission of course!). Some from Gladstone Secondary School and etc.

I heard that today is the last day of school for some highschool kids. Wow, aren't they lucky! I bet their little siblings are complaining how unfair that is and how they still have to attend elementry school for 3 more weeks. Poor little guys, but their time will come when they are forced to enter highschool too. Soon, they will realize that maybe they prefer the carefree world of elementry and would rather spend 3 more weeks at school then study, stress, and prepare for the provincial and finals. Ahh... their time will come.

Grad Coming to an End

It was a full blown Vancouver Graduation Season. The kids were nuts. Classic Limousine was booked like crazy. But it is all dying down now since the school year is coming to an end. I made good money while it lasted but I am glad to be driving the nice quiet people again.

The grade 12 were animals. Most jumped up and down in the limo, singing and having a blast. Others were already drunk the moment they stepped into the vehicle. And thankfully there were the ones that were already exhausted from their previous events, so they were very quiet. I believed I even saw a couple sleeping because they were so damn tired.

With that said, all the people who have rented the limos all had a blast. And to the future grade 12s, book a limo for your grad and you wont regret it. I know for sure that none of my clients had.

Ps: thank god that no one had puked in the limo.

Limousine Vancouver

A Fabulous Restaurant

I was doing a 2 hour transfer today in Downtown Vancouver. Giving the clients a tour of the shops on Robson and Davie Street. Then my eyes caught a sign that read Stepho's Greek Taverna. The outside looked like an ordinary restaurant. However, one thing that was very noticable is that all of the customers who came out of the restaurant looked really pleased with what they had came for. I made a mental note to come back to this restaurant after my transfer was over. In my defence, I was starving. I had not had lunch yet and it was already 2:00 in the afternoon. Fortunately, one out of the ten people were also hungry. Also, he noticed the same sign that I had noticed and after discussing it over with his friends, they all decided to go to that restaurant for lunch. They asked me to park the limo outside and join them for a meal. I was very grateful for the offer. It was very kind, but I couldnt do that. Suddenly, as if my stomach disagreed, it let out a big growl. My face turned beat red and I was very embarassed. They all started laughing and accepting defeat, I sat down and was ready to eat with them. It turned out that one of my friends had dated one of the guys here. In a way, we were already buddies since the start. We all got along great and it was a fun day. When we got back in the limo, everyone was stuffed. We chatted all the way home. This is a great example of how work could be fun. To bad this doesn't happen more often, but maybe that is a good thing. If it did, I would surely gain weight.

Vancouver Limousine Service

Limo as a present!

Today is Mother's Day! The moment all moms have been waiting for - breakfast in bed, homemade cards, lots of hugs and kisses, and a small present wrapped in pink paper.

Unfortunately, I had to work today at my limousine job. There were lots of transfers today because of the special day and people were booking limos as a surprise gift for their mom.

So, to make up for not being here today, I woke up very early (something that I never do) and cooked a nice breakfast for my mom while she was still sleeping. I made pancakes that were cut into 8 pieces and had drizzled of maple syrup all over them. Then added slices of bananas and strawberries all around the plate. And in the middle, was a ball of whip cream. It was gorgeous, if I must say so myself. For drinks, I made hot chocolate. Not those cheap powder ones (even though they are very good), but  real chocolate that I had melted and and stirred with warm milk. It tasted rich and wonderful. When I heard movements upstairs, I brought up her food and annonced "HaPpY MoThEr'S dAy"

After breakfast, we shared some of our favourite stories. All of mine were from books or movies that I had watched. However, all of my mom's were based on reality. The old memories that she treasured and would never forget. We had a good time talking, laughing and crying.

Now it was time for me to go and change for work. Mom was sad to see that I would not be here for the rest of the day and she would have to celebrate her day alone. But I had to go. I couldn't do a no show on my boss and dissappoint all the clients that had wanted everything to go according to plans (you know the type of people I am talking about). I told my mom that I was very sorry and that next year I would book the whole day off mother's day to spend it with her. I gave her a hug and a kiss and then left the house.

It was about noon when I went to pick up the limousine to do my first job. The clients were nice and cheerful. It was a whole family who wanted a limousine for an hour tour with a drop off at a restaurant to celerate their mother's day. When I finished that job, I went back to the base to clean up the limo, pour some ice in, replace the dirty glasses and set out to do my next job.

I drove back to my house and knocked on the door. My mom came down and when she saw my face she was so shocked. I told her to change, get ready and let's go for a ride.

We drove around the highway, downtown, countryside and basically everywhere. Talking, singing and laughing in the limo for 4 hours. After, we went to a fancy restaurant that I had made reservation for a month in advance. We ate like pigs (not messy, but we ate a lot). First were the free breads, then the apitizers, the the main plate. We also ordered another dish just to try out the food because the name sounded interesting. Then we had soup and lastly was the dessert. I only had water to drink because I had to be the responsible driver. But my mom went full blast, with the wine and vodka and everything. Even though she is a small fragile looking lady, her stomach is strong like iron. The dinner bill was even more than my monthly bill. But for my mom, it was worth it.

When we finally got out of the restaurant and back into the limo (took a lot of pushing and shoving, she would not fit through the door) we headed back home. In the car, I pulled out a average sized box that was wrapped in shiny metallic pink paper and handed it to my mom. She opened it with care (trust me, it took her 15 min to remove the type). When she saw the gift, she had water in her eyes. I never felt happier.

I dropped my mom off, told her to brush her teeth and get ready for bed and I'll be home after I returned the limo.

I dropped off the limo and the keys back at my boss and thanked him for letting me having the day off and borrowing his vehicle for the whole day.

Today was an awesome day! Can't wait for next year!

Vancouver Cruise Ship Limousine

Cruise Time

The Olympics are over and my job as a Vancouver limousine driver had slowed down a bit. Luckily, cruise ships, weddings and grad seasons are kicking in VERY soon. Then I'll be driving 24/7 again. I love doing grads and wedding because people are always so happy and friendly. Not to mention, the tips are pretty lovely too. Ballantyne Pier had closed down this year due to lack of Vancouver Cruise Ships. Therefore, all of the ships are going to be at Canada Place. It is also very surprising that we are booking more Canadians than American cruise ships transfer this year. Did the US economy drop that badly? I wonder. I wish I could be one of the lucky ones and go on a cruise as well. Just sit back and enjoy an awesome 2 weeks of traveling on water. I really want to try out the Princess Cruise because I heard that the food on those ships are the best. The seafood are supposedly really fresh and delicious. My mouth is watering right now just thinking about it.

Here is a little introduction to Canada Place Cruise Ship Terminal for you foreingners:
Canada Place is located near Gas Town, which is an awesome place to visit if you are a tourist. There are tons of brand name stores and little ice cream stores, which are perfect for a hot day. Also, there was a historical museum which was pretty neat. I do not know if the museum is still there today, but if it is, that is a great place to go to with a friend or family. Anyways, enough of Gas town and back to Canada Place. Canada place is near the Pacific Ocean, which makes it a great place to take pictures of all the different ships that come in and out. Also, Canada place is filled with delicious restaurants, great gift shops and awesome hotels such as the Pan Pacific.

They're heeere!

You may ask "what's here?"

Well it's the Olympics! The Vancouver 2010 Olympics are finally here :-) I got to watch the torch run by a few times. There were even special guest appearances like Arnold Schwarzenegger, Wayne Gretzky, Rick Mercer... I didn't have Olympic fever until I saw the torch run by, and I'm pretty sure over 80% of Vancouver has Olympic fever right now! Last night, I went to the Olympic store at the Hudson's Bay Company in Downtown with a couple of friends.. holy crap, we had to line up a block just to get into the store, and when we got in, the hoodie we were gonna get was sold out! That's ridiculous :(  but in the end, we got a few Olympic mascot plushies, the awesome and super warm Olympic red mittens, and a scarf. When we went out, everyone was yelling and screaming because Team Canada won the preliminary hockey game! :D

Lady GaGa

I have to admit, I'm a huge Lady GaGa fan! Her new single is so mesmerizing, everytime it comes on the radio I feel like dancing!

Has everyone heard it yet?

it's called "Bad Romance" and I love, love, love it! :-) I think my friends and I are going to perform this song at a dance show in a few months, but gotta start practicing.

Oh btw, I found a photo of Lady Gaga in a limo! OMG! I wonder if it was Vancouver Limousine's limo? I don't know, but I wish I chauffeured her! I could have gotten her autograph :P

She looks awesome. I love her outfit and her style, though at times it can be TOTALLY insane. Like that Kermit the frog outfit she wore? :\ hmm... but I still love her so whatever <3

New cell phone!

Hey guys, I'm back again.

So I managed to pay off my bills from the holidays! Haha, who woulda thought, eh? But thanks to you guys for booking with Vancouver Limousine...I had work over the holidays and I still have a little work. Well, I still have some money left over so I'm treating myself to a new cell phone! I am buying an LG Ice-cream cellphone.

Isn't it just wonderful? I wanted this phone for a year now, and I finally got the guts to order it! I know...finally *rolls eyes.* Well I'm getting the white one and it's only around $240.00, not bad for an Asian phone. I was looking at another phone, the Sony Ericsson Aino, and WOW! They're selling it for around $600.00 here in Canada! Isn't that crazy? What if I drop it? I'd have to get a new one... so yea, I'm sticking with the lovely LG ice-cream phone. I get to pick it up next week! I can't wait :) After I buy the phone, I'm gonna spend my next pay cheque on accessories for the phone, a case, and stuff like that. Yay!

New Years

Happy New Years everyone! I know I'm a lil late, but I've been busy with my new college courses and boxing week shopping, haha. On New Years Eve, I took the night off work at Vancouver Limousine to spend time with some friends to do the countdown and stuff. I'm glad that transit was free on new years eve! I wonder why they do that... maybe to make sure people don't drink and drive? Haha, who knows. So..what did you all do on NYE?

Anyways.. wow, I can't believe it! It's 2010 already. That means the Vancouver 2010 Olympics are going to happen really soon! I get 2 weeks off of school for the Olympics, so I guess I'm really lucky compared to other people. However, I think I will work during the 2 weeks and watch the Olympics on TV or something. I was browsing through the internet again and I found out that TransLink is offering Olympic bus/transit passes! They'd make great souveniers! I'd like to buy one, but they're too expensive :-( and besides, I have an awesome U-Pass! If you're interested, check out this site: 2010 Games Transit Pass. Oh no, the phone is ringing, ttyl :)

4 Days Left

Im doing a countdown till Christmas. And for those who didnt know, it is only 4 days left! Yippee! After that is boxing day. I can't wait untill I finally go shopping for myself (and not others, I dont want to sound selfish, but it sucks when you spend so much effort into getting a special gift and the receiver doesnt even appreciate it).
Im ready to spend all my money that I had made from working at my limousine job. I dont know if that's a positive thing or a negative thing. But at least Im making the bosses at my favourite clothing store happy: Garage, Urban Behaviour, Forever 21 and Mariposa are all going to love me. =) Maybe they'll even give me a discount! (oh man, i m sooo dreaming)
Anyways, this post is more about me cant waiting for boxing day then Christmas itself. Im sorry if i like receiving gifts more than giving them. But hey! im a human, what can i say?

Slept in

No work at the Vancouver Limousine office or the Whistler Star Express office today, so I slept in until now. Going out for a coffee at Blenz later and then Christmas shopping (yeah, finally!) at Richmond Centre and Metrotown Mall. Can't believe they open until 11 PM today, wow! My list is so long, I don't even know where to start.. but hopefully I'll be able to buy everything in time :-)

5 days til Christmas! Yay!

I was on Google the other day and I found some cool photos of different kinds of limousines! Check out this baby pink stretch PT cruiser:

Neat, eh? I've never seen this in Vancouver, but I wish my company had one though. I'd like to drive it around town, but then again, who would rent this vehicle? Ladies obsessed with pink? Or...? Nah, don't want to think about it.

Limo Vancouver

During my break today at Vancouver Limousine, I went and got my coworkers and I some Starbucks. My personal favourite drink is the caramel macchiato - absolutely delicious! However, comparing Starbucks' caramel macchiato to Blenz Coffee's caramel macchiato, I prefer BC's better! If you're lucky, your barista will make gorgeous patterns with the caramel, however, it has never happened with me at Starbucks yet :-S

Check out these cool photos! :-)

Snowy day in Vancouver, BC. - Best place to go to for coffee lovers ;-)

Last year's snow day in Vancouver. It was bad :-(

Yummy and not to mention PRETTY caramel macchiato!

Vancouver SUV Limo

Just got off work...

Just got off work at Vancouver Limousine and now I'm watching some Manswers on the internet... boy they are hilarious! Hahaha. Well there isn't much to do now except study for my finals. Yuck :-( it takes me an hour to get to the university, 3 hours to write the exam, and another hour to get back. I'm gonna be starving! :-(
